6-18-19: The park is open. All facilities are open. The swim area has been moved to the Bluffton Beach in the Bluffton Area. We have been able to open the Cove 1 Boat Ramp.

6-24-19: The park is open. The following facilities are open - all cabins, Lakeview Campground (Utilities), most of North Loop Campground (Utilities), most of South Loop Campground (Utilities), north side of Smarsh Creek (Utilities), Giefer Hill (Primitive), Harding Hill (Primitive).
The following facilities are closed - All of the East Shore Side is closed except for Lakeview utility sites. This includes: all of the Marina Hook-Up campground (Utilities), all of Heimerman Point Campground (Primitive and Utilities), all of M&M Point Campground (Primitive), all of Wichita Point Campground (Primitive), East Boat Ramp is also still under water.
West Shore Side closures- all of Hobie Beach Day Use/Campground (Primitive), 6 sites in North Loop Campground (Utilities), 6 sites in South Loop Campground (Utilities), Giefer Creek Day Use is under water, NSA Afterdeck still has water in basement, Smarsh Creek south side is still closed due to culvert project.

6-24-19: The park is open. Open areas include - Doud and West Point campgrounds, East boat ramp. Closed facilities include the following - West boat ramp; Blackjack, Abilene and Churchill campgrounds; all primitive sites; swim beach; day use area; 5 star and sailboat beach.

6-26-19: The park is open with the following facilities notes:
Walnut River - all sites open and usable. Beach open. All cabins open
Boulder Bluff - all areas closed. Main road is now open to allow access to sailing club facility
Shady Creek - all areas open. Marina boat ramp still unusable, Shady Creek 1 boat ramp only usable ramp on reservoir
- Areas 1, 2, 3, 4 closed (234 primitive sites and 54 utility sites) Boat ramp 1 and 2 closed, beach closed
- Areas 5, 6, 7 are all open and clean-up was done. Weekend rains put lake levels back to 8.2 ft above conservation level which impacts some sites in Bluestem 5, 6, 7.
- Cabins in Bluestem will be closed for the next week due to no lift station availability

6-12-19: The entire park remains closed due to flooding. The park is unreachable through the county road system. Park is without power and phones. Staff will be stationed at Crawford State Park until they are able to enter Elk City again. If visitors have questions they can call Crawford State Park at 620-362-3671.

6-12-19: The trail is open from outside of Osawatomie at John Brown Rd, to Council Grove. There is trail damage in the Rantoul area, both east and west of town, as well as in the Quenemo area, approximately 4 miles west of the Pomona Trailhead/ parking area and just west of 68 Highway. The trail is still rideable, but visitors should be aware of possible rough surfaces and use caution to be aware of changing trail conditions.

The following facilities open - Kaw 1-18, Kaw shower house, West dump station, Kanza 1-32 & 35-66, Kanza shower house, Cheyenne 1-28, Cheyenne shower house, fish cleaning station, cabins, Pawnee primitive, and Osage 24 hour generator area. The following are closed - Arickaree, Sioux, Kaw primitive, Kanza 33 & 34, Kanza primitive, Cheyenne 29-36, Cheyenne primitive, Osage boat ramp, Kanza boat ramp. Cabins are not impacted.

The following facilities are open - Park office, Jayhawk Gate House Entry Station open during weekend & evening hours for permit and license sales, Jayhawk Marina, Outlet area below dam open for fishing, Saddle Ridge Horse Campground open for horse riders, Hillsdale Shooting Range, RC Barnstormers Radio Controlled Model Airplane field.
The following facilities are closed - All boat ramps, all camping areas in Jayhawk Park Area, and the following campgrounds: Scott Creek, Pintail Point, Crappie Cove, Quail Run, Rabbit Ridge Primitive, Sunflower. Swim beach, Windsurfer beach, and Personal watercraft beach are closed, along with Picnic Shelter #1, #2, #3 and Sunflower Archery Range.

6-24-19: Kanopolis State Park is closed due to flooding. Lake access and road access have been affected. All campgrounds, trails, boat ramps and swimming areas are closed thru July 1. We plan to have all utility campgrounds open on July 2nd. We will have limited primitive camping in some areas. Buzzard Bay & Horsethief boat ramps will be closed, upper horsethief road will be closed, Sandy Shore & Sandplum primitive campgrounds will be closed. We will not have any courtesy docks accessible and no trail access.

6-26-19: The park is open. Reservoir is 7.5 feet above conservation pool and rising. Both the Cedar Point boat ramp and Marina boat ramp are now closed until further notice. Oak Hill Boat Ramp on the south side of the reservoir is still usable, but at your own risk. Reservoir levels are pushing into primitive camping areas. Significant hail and rain occurred overnight, so campers that are already at the park should be checked ASAP for hail damage and whether or not water is rising up around the camper.

6-13-19: The park is open and all facilities are open and available. Utility sites are fully reserved for the coming weekend.

Update 6-26-19 - The park is open. The lake is 30.18 above conservation pool and rising. All of the sites in Hickory Hollow will be without sewer until further notice. Sites 3-12 and sites 26-30 will be without power and sewer. Generator use will be allowed park-wide due to the current flooding situation.
The park is open with the following facilities open - Cedar Point Campground sites 0-2, Walnut Grove Campground sites 1,3,5, Eagle Ridge Campground all sites, Rusty Windmill sites 1 & 2, Woodland Hills Campground 1-62, Hickory Hollow Campground sites 1-2,13-25, Sunset Ridge Campground 0-9, Day use shelter #3, Lake view Shelter, Group Shelter, Walnut Grove Boat Ramp, and 7 of our cabins.
The following facilities are closed - Cedar Point Campground sites 3-40, Hickory Hollow Campground 3-12 & 26-30, Prairie View all sites, Walnut Grove Campground sites 2,4,6-29, Woodland Hills Primitive Campground sites 63-88, Day use shelters 1,2 4-10, South Boat Ramp & Marina fish cleaning stations, South Boat Ramp, South Boat Ramp Restroom, Marina Restroom, Marina Boat Ramp, Walnut Grove boat ramp parking lot, Milford Lake Marina, Sprung Hut, all beaches are closed, Honey Locust, Red Cedar Cabin, Big Oak Cabin, and the Pump-A-Head Station at Yacht Club. Approximately 50% of our utilities are closed and approximately 30% of our primitive sites are closed. This list will remain closed until the lake level comes down quite a bit. As the lake level comes down we will reopen and repair the sites that were affected by the flooding.

What is Available: Eagle Landing campground on the south side is available for camping with water only. Fees will be adjusted accordingly. Patrons can run a generator- generator regulations will be waived until power comes back on. Wild Horse campground is available for the equestrian community with water available and generators allowed, same as Eagle Landing. There will be no bathhouses or dup stations available. Primitive camping will be allowed at the picnic shelter areas.
What is Closed: The office will be closed. The maintenance shop will be running off generators. Hobie Cove, Pelican Point, Hideaway, Turkey Run, Catfish Alley and Mulberry Grove (all primitive areas) are closed. Cougar Pass, Lake View, and Cottonwood Bridge (utility campgrounds) are closed due to no electricity and flood waters across the main road; Both boat ramps are under water; There are no shower house facilities open; The cabins and dump stations are closed.
No Swimming or the launching of trailered motor boats is allowed anywhere in the State Park at this time.

6-24-19: The park is open.
Boat Ramp #1 was opened. The Marina is closed until water goes down.
Areas Open: Utilities: Burning Heart, Waucondah, Osage, Four Winds and Cedar Winds areas. Other areas in the park have been opened for primitive camping.
Areas closed: Primitive - White Feather, Bunkers Cove, Heart Stays, Kansa Primitive. Utilities - Big Bear, Kansa. Buildings closed: All Pit toilets except Ah-ketaeha, Kansa Shower Building

6-21-19: The park is open. Keith Sebelius Reservoir is currently under a blue-green algae warning. This means water contact should be avoided by humans and pets, and fishing and boating should be avoided. Water is tested weekly and status will be updated as the results are released. All utility campgrounds and all park roadways are open and unaffected. Only one small primitive camping area is unusable by the rising lake level at this time, and we have plenty of available primitive camping areas.

6-12-19: The trail is completely open. The trail suffered flooding damage from the Franklin- Anderson County line, (Anderson County 2500 Rd), south approximately 2 miles to just south of Scipio Road, (Anderson County 2350 Rd). The section is rideable on a mountain bike, however very rough and some areas might require less experienced riders to walk the bike over. This section is just south of Richmond, after crossing under Highway 59.

6-24-19: The park is open. K-13 Highway across dam is open the whole way including overflow spillway. It is open to vehicle traffic only, no stopping, pedestrian traffic or bicycles. Parking lots on end of dam are closed. River Pond is open. All River Pond utility sites open, some primitive, shower building will all be open by end of week, playground and some shelters. Riley point area open. Rocky Ford area is partially open. All River Pond Cabins closed through end of July at this time. Starting to have kayak rentals. Beach is open but in a little rough shape. Disc golf course and archery range are open. Gatehouse back to open normal hours.
Cedar Ridge. Main boat ramp closed. Wildcat Marina is open to modified operations. Cabins and primitive camping are open.
Randolph Area. Normal. Utility sites and primitive camping open
Fancy Creek. Primitive camping open, utility sites closed through the end of June. Fancy Creek Shooting Range is open.

6-19-19: The park is open. The following facilities are open - Indian Grass primitive, Lovegrass group camp, Big Bluestem sites 1-7 and 17-40, Buffalograss primitive, Hell Creek Boat ramp and courtesy dock is available, Side Oats primitive, Wheatgrass (E,W), Grama (E), Switchgrass mountain bike trail, Marina, Dropseed (E, seasonal camp), Marina Cove Toadstools. Otoe campground will open July 1 for cabins, Yarrow camp sites and primitive areas.
The following facilities are closed - Otoe campground is closed until June 30, 2019. Otoe will open July 1 for cabins, Yarrow campground and primitive areas. Goldenrod will remain closed. Hell Creek; Lower Switchgrass primitive camping area, Swim beach and Kids pond, Little Bluestem primitive area, sites 8-16 in Big Bluestem (E,W), Birdy loop of Switchgrass Mountain bike trail is under water and part of the marina loop is under water.
