The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism together with the Blue Valley Yacht Club and the Blue Valley Youth Sailing Foundation are offering the Kansas Boater Safety Course. The course is open to the public. The classroom portion of the class will be from 8:00 a.m. until noon on August 10th at the Tuttle Creek Office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 5020 Tuttle Creek Blvd., Manhattan, KS. The on-water instruction will occur at the Tuttle Creek State Park River Pond Area (Tuttle Puddle) from 8:00 a.m. on August 17th using various watercraft. The State Park entrance fee will be waived for class participants . Boat operation by students will be with an experienced instructor on board. Students who complete both will receive a NASBLA approved Boater Education Certification Card.
